AVOID, OR IF NEEDED RESOLVE, YOUR BUSINESS DISPUTE - EPISODE 4

Email can be a double-edged sword.

We continue the theme of emailing to protect yourself.

As discussed, email also allows you to instantly confirm, in writing, your understanding of a key conversation.

This major benefit, however, can harm you. For example, you sent an email in anger, or you otherwise did not carefully check it.

Example? You had a bad morning. Your wife was angry, your car broke down, or you missed your train. Then, being distracted, you forgot your meeting with your key customer.

During the halcyon days of a relationship, your customer could construe your apology graciously. However, if the relationship sours, that same email could be used by your (now former) customer to demonstrate your negligence to a Court.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU EMAIL.
